Home Depot or Lowes

It is not clear to me, which is better Home Depot or Lowes. If you are considering where do I go the most, it is hands down Home Depot. Why? I have no idea... Apparently, so many rugged men like myself go there and my wife and so many non-rugged people do seem to go to Lowes. If I was to give it a shot as to why, it may be because of the advertising. I know the both seem to have the same amount and basically the same style. But I think it has to do with the physiologic part of advertising.. For me that would be the Orange instead of the blue males are thought to favor. Also the word "Home" and more so the word "Depot". Depot sounds cool. Sounds like a train depot (stop), so in translation, a Home Stop. I feel the whole design of the sign is more compelling to the masculine side of me. In respect, if I want flowers or gardening type stuff, and maybe more designer stuff., I think I would prefer Lowes. Nonetheless, both of them "compliment each other" (picked up that phrase at Lowes). It promotes competition and keeps the prices down. Hope no one is going to tell me they are owned by a husband and wife...
